The concept of a monorepo can mean different things in different contexts. To me it makes sense to have a monorepo for like things; meaning, things that share common instrumentation. A classic example is npm packages. They all have the same CI and thus it’s worth my while to keep them all together. Simply sticking different projects together to save an IDE window is not enough motivation, to me.
